Vincent Rocco Vargas:
Founder and CEO of TMRW Battalion

Vincent Rocco Vargas is the founder and CEO of TMRW Battalion, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of veterans, first responders, and their families. Drawing from his own journey and the challenges faced by those who serve, Vincent established TMRW Battalion to offer practical, community-centered wellness programs that build resilience and foster personal growth.

Vincent's background is rooted in service. He served with the U.S. Army's 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, completing two deployments to Afghanistan and one to Iraq. After his military career, he transitioned to the U.S. Border Patrol, where he worked as an agent and later became a Tactical Medic with the Border Patrol, Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) . These experiences gave him a deep understanding of the unique struggles faced by those in demanding, high-stress roles.

Through TMRW Battalion, Vincent leads initiatives like the 'Light the Fuse' Men’s Wellness Group and Retreat, which focus on trauma recovery and mental health. He also developed 'Healing Thru Hitting,' a therapeutic method that combines physical activity with mental health practices. Vincent emphasizes the importance of what he calls the “walk to the arena”—the commitment to face one's challenges head-on and the courage to pursue healing and growth. His mission is to create supportive spaces where those who have served can find strength, support, and a path to a healthier future.

T

TRANSITION.  The path from service to civilian life can be fraught with uncertainty, anxiety, and isolation. The support that TMRW provides in education, job placement, housing, and other essentials goes beyond practical aid. It's a gesture that says, "You're not alone; we understand your journey." The emotional weight of transition can be overwhelming, but by easing this process, TMRW helps mend broken bridges, encouraging veterans to see possibilities and hope in their new lives.

M

MORAL.  Facing the ethical and moral challenges post-service can lead to intense feelings of guilt, shame, or confusion. Many veterans and first responders grapple with these hidden wounds long after their physical scars have healed. TMRW's focus on moral well-being is a profound acknowledgment of these struggles. It's a place where they can open up about these complex emotions, seek professional help, and find understanding and acceptance among peers who have walked the same path.

R

RECREATION.  Joy, camaraderie, and leisure might seem trivial, but for those who have endured intense stress and trauma, these aspects can be life-changing. TMRW recognizes that healing isn't just about addressing pain and struggle; it's also about rediscovering joy and connection. By fostering a sense of community through recreational activities, we encourage our clients to reconnect with a part of themselves that might have been lost. This not only promotes wellness but also rekindles a sense of belonging and self-worth.

W

WELLNESS.  Physical, mental, and emotional well-being is an intertwined and complex path. TMRW's holistic approach to wellness recognizes that each aspect affects the others, and neglecting one can lead to an imbalance in overall health. By offering a multifaceted support system, we help find balance and strength, not just in body, but also in mind and spirit.
